Help the Common’s garden grow! The Common’s seeks to maximize the growth of edible, medicinal and beneficial plants on its premises. Assist with raised beds, greenhouse projects, fruit trees and other garden tasks as directed. Assist with compost initiatives. Learn a wide variety of gardening techniques for community benefit.
Key Responsibilities
Water garden beds, greenhouse plants and other areas of the Commons garden.
Weed, prune, harvest and tend to Commons garden initiatives and plots.
Assist with plant sales and other outreach events as applicable.
Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of gardening in southwest New Mexico ideal but not required- most important is a desire to learn and contribute to a thriving garden. Strong communication skills Physical Requirements Able to lift at least 35 pounds Able to walk comfortably while holding garden implements or tools on sometimes uneven ground
